Hard landscaping provides the bones – but planting gives the garden its soul

What's possible

Planting design should work with your life, not against it. We’ll create a scheme that fits your space, complements existing features, and evolves naturally over time. This service is flexible, whether you’re updating a small bed or planning something more transformative.

You might want to:

  • Refresh a tired bed with new inspiration
  • Fill in gaps with plants that add colour or structure
  • Improve the flow and feel of existing planting
  • Choose the right plants for containers or balcony pots
  • Build a cohesive planting scheme from scratch

We’ll begin by walking through your garden and talking about what’s working, what’s missing, and what feels realistic in terms of care.

From there, I’ll recommend an approach that suits your garden and your experience.

Sourcing & Planting Support

Choosing and placing plants can feel overwhelming — but it doesn’t have to. Once we have a clear plan, I can source plants from trusted nurseries or hand-pick them for you. This ensures they’re healthy, suited to your soil, and appropriate for your space and budget.

Planting – Your Way

I can handle the planting, or we can do it together — depending on what feels right for you. Some clients enjoy being hands-on to gain confidence and learn, while others prefer to leave it to me. However you’d like to work, I’ll offer calm, practical support along the way.

There’s no pressure, and no set path — just friendly guidance shaped around your needs.

A Complete Plan

For larger areas or full planting schemes, a detailed planting plan offers clarity, structure, and lasting value. It helps turn a layout into a living garden — with thoughtful planting that looks good now and continues to grow beautifully over time.

A complete plan typically includes:

  • Planting Layout – showing spacing and positions for every plant
  • Plant List – with botanical names, growth habits, seasons of interest, and care needs
  • Visual Aids – to help you picture how everything will come together
  • Design Notes – covering layering, colour, and creating harmony through form and texture

Taking the time to plan well from the start means fewer uncertainties later on. It helps you feel confident in your choices and ensures the garden feels cohesive and enjoyable — now and into the future.
