Garden Coaching

Personalised Guidance

To help you make the most of what you already have

Not every garden needs a full redesign — and not every gardener wants to hand over the reins. Sometimes you just need a fresh perspective, a second pair of eyes, or someone to walk the garden with you and talk through your ideas, challenges, and goals.

A Flexible Supportive Approach

Coaching is a great place to start — especially if you’re unsure of your direction or want to feel more connected to your space again. It’s supportive, relaxed, and completely tailored to your pace and interests.

A coaching session can offer clarity, ideas, and practical steps to move forward — in a way that feels personal and achievable. It is well-suited to smaller spaces or for gardens that have good bones but need gentle tweaks rather than a full rework.

Sometimes all it takes is a fresh look and the right guidance — your garden might hold more potential than you think.

What We Can Explore

Each session is shaped around you — your space, your style, and your needs.

There’s no fixed rule, but some of the things we might explore include:

  • Diagnosing: what’s working, what isn’t, and how you’d like your space to feel
  • Layout and structure: Ways to improve flow, define zones, or make better use of overlooked areas
  • Planting ideas: Suggestions to refresh tired beds, fill gaps, add seasonal interest or choose the right plants for your space
  • Soft fixes: Small changes that can have a big impact — like moving plants, reshaping a border, or updating containers
  • Brainstorming: Talking through any challenges or overwhelm and ideas to improve the space, such as tricky spots, or dead areas
  • Next steps: Simple, realistic ideas you can build on, whether in phases or all at once
  • Follow-up assistance: Offering care tips, basic maintenance plans and seasonal advice
  • Questions: A chance to ask anything on your mind, with practical tips you can take forward at your own pace

Above all, the goal is to give you clarity and encourage confidence — not a list of chores, but a sense of what’s possible and how to begin.

You can take notes during our meeting, or opt for a short written summary afterwards — with reminders of what we discussed, plus any sketches or plant lists we covered.

Would you like to be more hands-on?

If it’s helpful, we can get hands-on together. That might mean reshaping a bed, planting up a few containers, or moving a plant or two. Nothing heavy-duty — just working side by side, so you feel more confident and supported in your own garden.

This isn’t about taking over — it’s about showing you what’s possible, helping you take the next step, and giving you the tools to carry it forward.

Coaching sessions typically last between 1.5 and 2 hours, but the length and structure are always shaped around your needs. We’ll discuss what feels right during our initial meeting — whether that’s a one-off visit or a more phased, ongoing approach.
