Garden design doesn’t need to feel overwhelming. This simple, step-by-step process keeps things clear, collaborative, and tailored to your pace and needs
A short email or call to understand what you're looking for and arrange a meeting.
A relaxed, no-pressure chat in your garden where we explore ideas and see if we’re a good fit.
You’ll receive a written proposal outlining the scope of work, services included, and associated costs. It gives you a clear overview of what’s involved before you commit.
I take stock of your garden: its layout, existing plants, boundaries, light, and more. We also talk in more detail about your style preferences, and practical needs. This is about really understanding your space — and how you want to live in it.
For large or complex gardens, a specialist land surveyor may be recommended.
Based on everything we’ve discussed, I create 1–3 layout ideas to show the potential of your garden. These early designs are about exploring options and refining ideas.
Once the concept is agreed, I produce a final, scaled Master Plan — a clear, cohesive design to guide your garden’s transformation.
This includes layout details, notes on materials and key features, and optional additions like mood boards or planting zones.

While I don’t carry out the landscaping work myself, I’m happy to collaborate with your chosen contractor to ensure the design is brought to life as intended.
You remain fully in control of how and when the garden is built, and I’m available to support you as much or as little as you like during this phase.
